Extension is seeking a Chemical Safety and Hygiene Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Dane County.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the facility's Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) in compliance with OSHA, ACGIH, and industry standards.
  • Implement emergency response plans for chemical spills, fires, and exposures, and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
  • Oversee industrial hygiene testing, conduct risk assessments, and perform chemical safety audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide safety guidance for new chemicals and processes, including appropriate PPE and training for staff.
  • Serve as an on-call resource for chemical-related emergencies and manage incident investigations.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Occupational Health & Safety, or other related area
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical safety, lab safety, or environmental health and safety
  • CGHI certification is a plus
Salary Information
  • Pay starts at $100K
